Jack, The Great Fox

I had a beautiful, delicious introvert's dream day drawing alone in my studio (let's be honest, it's really a garage. Photos converting the space to come). I made the original drawing, shown first, a few months ago based off of a short story I have been writing. Today I took some time to imagine the world that the fox and the girl live in, and what adventures they might get into together. I had an especially fun time playing with patterning, color, transparency and shadow in these drawings, as well as playing with the relationship between the characters. I enjoy the tension between Jack The Fox's pointy teeth and friendly smile. Is he a nice fox, or a conniving one? What do you think?
